All we have heard about ostriches burying their heads in the sand (though nobody has seen this happening), but who could imagine that a fox, who is so far away from the feathered race, could imitate this behavior? This smart and cunning animal decided to check out the myth about ostriches particularly on this cold winter morning! Or perhaps it is seeking a rabbit in the depths of the snow. Just see how deep the fox has buried its head and is proudly waving its lush tail! Where else could you be a witness to such an extraordinary behavior of a fox?!
The Glamorous Bee
Who said only women strive for perfection when the matter concerns their appearance?! This bee is simply adorable with its hair wreath composed of water droplets. Actually, the bee is in the process of pollinating a daisy in a cool morning after a hard rain. It's a natural behavior for this flying insect: who is to praise is the photographer! The latter is really worth a huge "Bravo" for catching this fantastic moment and making it possible for us to admire the scene. Through this lovely picture we realize that even insects can look adorable! It's deeply impressive, isn't it?
The Chinese Owl
This lovely owl is definitely "made in China"! With its too kind face, it looks like meditating and murmuring "get calm, free your mind, life is wonderful"! And truly, for this pretty owl life is truly wonderful - it is beautiful, it is full, it's owlets are safe in others' nests, and it is in the center of attention. What else can an owl dream of? Thanks to the photographer to show this bird from its beautiful side with no bulging eyes or gloomy mood we are used to seeing in owls. Here one can't but desire to dig one's fingers into the soft feathers of the bird.
A Moonwalk In Puffin's Performance
Who else could perform such a unique and hilarious moonwalk?! Definitely no one but this sweet puffin. It seems to have been training the style for a long time to introduce itself in an honorable form in front of the public, i.e. us! Its friends, meanwhile, don't even seem to notice any strange things happening around including both the bird's performance and the presence of the photographer. Perhaps the cheerful and extraordinary behavior of their congener is no longer a surprise for them. Undoubtedly, the photographer had a good laugh when shooting these puffins in the Arctic lands.
The Lizard Guardian
The will and stamina of this male lizard are simply stunning! Indeed, this must be the strongest and bravest (well the most haughty, too) lizard in the whole Maharashtra state and perhaps India, too! In the breeding season, lizards become especially alert and ready to fight for their lands. They guard the territory they live in so that no other male dares to appear and claim for their "women"! This one is armed to the teeth - just look at the "dangerous weapon" in its hands, its brightly colored throat and the arrogant face expression! A real macho!
The Suricate Drank Too Much Last Night
Can you see the regret in the eyes of this lovely suricate? Yeah! That's right! It must have drunk too much last night and woke up this morning with a monkey by its side! It happens to everyone, don't bother too much. Be sure, little suricate, right now there is someone watching your photo who was in the same sticky situation this morning (woken up with an unknown woman but not a monkey, surely)! Anyway, we won't envy this poor animal yet will thank it and the photographer for an amazing shot. The suricate looks as amazing as a rodent can!
A Chipmunk Caught At Bypassing Diet
No need to get surprised like that, just pass the salt and don't bother the chipmunk to bypass its diet! This lovely rodent simply adores tasty food and can't resist the temptation to taste the mellow corn even if it's been struggling to get back its tiny waist for spring. Animals are so fun especially when having their cheeks filled with food. And our nice chipmunk is far not an exception! The photographer managed to shoot the moment when the animal was startled by the flash sound of the camera. A truly heart-warming photo!
The Poor Buffalo And The Pesky Cattle Egret
What a strange couple - a buffalo and a cattle egret! If the first is an enduring and well-bred animal with a sea of patience, the same can't be said about the cattle egret. This is an incredibly ill-mannered pesky bird which won't let the poor animal graze peacefully. Not only has it defecated right onto the head of the poor buffalo, but also looks fantastically proud for that! And who wouldn't? It has pacified a huge and powerful animal! Just see the look of defeat in the buffalo's eyes. I wonder, did the photographer do anything to help the poor animal?!
Did you ever see an owl who is so frightened to face a photographer, that it only dares to peek from behind its congener? This peaceful couple definitely did not expect guests via photographers and didn't manage to get morally prepared. Hence, we have what we have - a grandiose couple of owls annoyed and at the same time surprised by the interference of a photographer into their peaceful existence. Thanks to him for it, as otherwise, we wouldn't have the chance to admire these lovely birds. Not very often one can see owls hanging around in pairs!
A Viscacha Getting Warmed By The Sun
O, spring, spring... Where were you? This viscacha has definitely been longing for spring and warmth to come after the long winter. Actually, it is simply stretching after a sound sleep. But the photographer managed to take such a lucky shot the animal seems to bring its hands close to the Sun to get warmed. It's a tender scenery and photo. A lovely viscacha will now have all the chances of becoming a pet for numerous people who can't stay indifferent toward the pretty snout and tiny hands of this rodent. Prepare nuts, as your kid is already planning to ask for a viscacha at home!
The Cheetah Hears Its First Anecdote
Who said animals don't have a sense of humor! This cheetah has just heard the first anecdote in its life and can't stop chuckling. Or perhaps it's been watching some hyenas walking here and there in a search of a fresh deer meat, while the trophy is already in the cheetah's stomach?! Who knows! The only thing we are sure about is that the cheetah looks simply gorgeous in its hilarious mood. Cats are so amazing, and this one is a big tender cat who needs a portion of a good laugh from time to time. Anyway, whatever the "kitten" was fun about, the photographer was a great success in catching the moment.
Great Trans-Species Love Between A Frog And A Chipmunk
Love can knock on anyone's door. This sweet photograph of an all-mighty kiss between a pretty chipmunk and a frog is a great proof. What do you think, will this kiss remove the curse and turn the ugly frog into a prince for the chipmunk? Well, we shall hope! Till that, we'll admire this exceptional moment when two representatives of thoroughly different animal species - a rodent and an amphibian, show interest toward each other. The photographer did a great job by catching the moment while not frightening the animals. Otherwise, we wouldn't now have this romantic picture!
In-Family Quarrel Between Leopards
What can look as gorgeous as a leopard? Perhaps only tow leopards! A leopard mother and son are stuck in a quarrel that obtains somewhat hilarious ending. They are biting each other and playing passionately. And once the son bites the nape of its mother, the latter is so startled that it looks astonished and hilarious! Perhaps the "kitten" got a good bashing afterward. However, the photographer was in the right place at the right moment. He was successful to shoot the fantastic photo without interfering the playful fight of the leopards. Truly a great moment.
The Inquisitive Eagle VS The Stubborn Photographer
Imagine the photographer sneaking up the rocks in a pursuit of a perfect shot when a mighty eagle rises its bold head from behind a rock and expressing its astonishment. It might be thinking "What a brave thing pursuing me"! You can see amazement, surprise and some kind of a warning like "Don't stick your nose into eagles' business"! But the photographer did and now we have got a perfect picture to admire and discuss. Immortalizing the scene when the most powerful bird - eagle is alarmed is indeed a one-of-a-kind cadre!
Headless Horsemen Or Headless Penguins?
Where did the heads of these penguins go? They seem not to know themselves! Two penguins walking around Antarctic searching their lost heads. Perhaps they have even placed an advertisement "Our heads are lost, a reward is promised to finders"! Anyway, preening is the activity penguins perform regularly so that their feathers can withstand the Antarctic cold winds, dirt and icy water. Two penguins preening themselves simultaneously were shot by a famous wildlife photographer. An impression they are headless is created perfectly! Good job to the photographer.
